’60 Minutes’ is a current affairs program on CBS that served as the inspiration for KBS’s 60 Minutes.

It is a program in which a reporter who has covered several stories introduces each corner.

However, 3 hours before this week’s broadcast, it was suddenly announced that a segment of 60 Minutes would be postponed to a later date.

The segment was scheduled to feature reporter Sharine Alfonsi’s interviews with people sent to prisons in El Salvador by the government.

According to a report in the New York Times

CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss

It was put on hold, saying it needed to include an interview with a senior White House official.

(Alfonsi had already requested comment from the Department of Homeland Security, the White House, and the State Department)

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal

The broadcast had already gone through five rounds of review and had also passed the CBS lawyers and review room.

Alfonsi sent an email to fellow reporters saying this was a political decision.

According to CNN senior media analyst Brian Stelter:

It is known that the 60 Minutes production team is protesting, saying they will resign due to this issue.

A CBS News spokesperson later stated that the segment was insufficient and would be aired after additional work.
