I came here because I was captivated by a photo someone posted on Instagram saying that Seoraksan Mountain seen from Yeongnang Lake was beautiful, but the snow had almost melted and it was a bit cloudy so I couldn’t feel it properly.

Personally, I like Gangneung more than Sokcho, so I go to Gangneung often. I also like Sokcho, which I came to after a long time. It reminds me of old times.

Seoraksan Mountain visible in the distance is beautiful, and the East Sea unfolding right before my eyes is also pretty. The deep color of the water in the East Sea always makes me feel good.

I never get bored as I run for 2 and a half hours without earphones, listening to the sound of waves and wind.

I ran the 45th course of Haeparang Road. When I came back, I did not pass Yeongrang Lake. At first, I went there without knowing that the deck road was blocked. It was blocked, so I stepped on the stairs leading up to Lotte Resort without realizing it, but it was quite high.

In addition, when crossing Seorak Bridge, the stairs were quite high, so the round trip height was 220m. Normally, you would have to take a boat to cross, but I didn’t feel the need.

I didn’t bring a soft flask because it’s a winter run where I can run without water up to 30k, but I regretted it because the weather in Sokcho was slightly hot today. After about 5k left, the only thing I could think about was water. And the shoe story that I can’t forget, the Dev 3, doesn’t suit my feet well for long distances. I came here to test it, but I only regret it.

Anyway, I happily completed the run as I set out to do, had a delicious dinner, looked at the ocean, and came back to my accommodation to rest for a while.

I have to go buy some fries at 8 o’clock haha.
