Critic Kim Young-dae, born in 1977, graduated from Yonsei University’s Department of Business Administration and received a doctorate in music anthropology from the University of Washington. He has established himself as a ‘K-pop expert’ at home and abroad by providing in-depth criticism and analysis on idols, the K-pop industry, and the global success of the group BTS.
He was also deeply involved in the overall Korean music industry, serving as a selection committee member for the Korean Popular Music Awards and a judge for the MAMA AWARDS.
