Gyeongbokgung Palace Geunjeongjeon incense burner ‘dragon lid’ recovered

The Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office of the Palace Relics Headquarters of the National Heritage Administration announced that it will produce reproductions of the two missing incense burner caps and unveil the two intact incense burners on both sides of Geunjeongjeon starting on the 24th.

The Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office estimates that the lid disappeared between 1961 and 1962. This is a conclusion reached by analyzing 21 photographs of Geunjeongjeon taken between 1904 and 1979.
