Because, from the beginning, they tried to give awards to games that did not use generative AI (AI art).
Before receiving the award, the developer of Expedition 33 claimed that they did not use generative AI.
But when I received the award, I actually used generative AI, but it doesn’t matter now that I’ve fixed it with a patch.
This is why they were deprived of the award (in the first place, it was stated that they would be disqualified from nominations for simply using the AI art as a patch, regardless of whether it was replaced with a hand-drawn version).
I thought once I received an award, I would lose my money. Why is it like that all of a sudden?
