the gaming industry is dead

Every year, studios celebrate their releases and achievements at the annual ‘The Game Awards’ ceremony.

But every year, the workers who created the game face the real price of its success.

Studio closures, layoffs, and unsustainable working conditions.

In 2025 alone, more than 3,500 video game workers will lose their jobs, health insurance, and livelihood security.

If you include all the tech and gaming workers laid off in the past three years, that number soars to more than 40,000.

We are organizing to act on this.

Let’s join the video game union under the Communications Workers of America, your union, and organize and fight together.

We are preparing a ‘Gaming Worker Bill of Rights’ that would include preventing layoffs, guaranteeing credits and royalties, and regulating the use of generative AI.

Please join us and help us make these decisions.

Together we can accomplish so much more.
