Accordingly, yesterday (9th) Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the following position.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed serious concern over the inappropriate labeling of Taiwan as “China (Taiwan)” on Korea’s electronic immigration card and requested immediate correction. In addition to this issue, the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is comprehensively reviewing its relationship with the Korean government by raising the issue of the Korea-Taiwan trade deficit.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the South Korean side to correct its use of inappropriate terminology and cooperate on an equal footing to develop relations based on the long-standing friendly relationship between the two peoples.
However, if you look at the photo of Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcing the above position, something looks strange.
