The reason director Ryu Joong-il filed a national petition asking for his daughter-in-law to be punished

Ryu Joong-il’s family sued his daughter-in-law for extramarital affairs, but he was not indicted.

Child abuse was also not recognized as the child likely recognized the man as his uncle.

What is important is whether this constitutes child abuse.

In Korea, even if a spouse has an affair, it does not affect custody.

Because they judge that they did something wrong to their spouse, not to their child.

Even if a woman has an affair, she often gets custody unless she has serious grounds for disqualification.

In particular, as in this case, most women have custody of children as young as one year old.

In cases where a woman cannot obtain custody, there must be a reason such as serious mental illness, neglect of raising the child, or child abuse.

In order for Ryu Joong-il’s family to take custody, it must be recognized that his daughter-in-law abused the child, but this was not recognized.

Looking at it, it appears that the proposal included divorce to reach an amicable agreement, and it appears that this agreement also included custody issues.

But no agreement was reached

The woman’s child abuse, which was necessary for the man to take custody, ended in an acquittal.

Now, if things continue like this, the woman will get custody, so I think I’ve filed a national petition like this.

1. A spouse’s affair has nothing to do with custody decisions.

2. If the child is young, most countries in our country give custody to the woman.

3. If the child is young and the woman cannot obtain custody, it is possible only if there is a clear problem on the woman’s part, such as mental illness or child abuse.
