Last June, a DM arrived.
“Can you hang my picture?
That was a message from a young man in Korea.
he said “I will soon be doing military service. “My dream is to enter an art school in Japan.”
I could immediately sense that this DM was sent by a young man with a dream who had the courage to think about how to express it several times.
After agreeing, there will be no contact for a while.
I thought so.
But contrary to my expectations, he sent me several DMs after that day.
“What kind of pictures do you like, boss?
“What size fits the atmosphere of the store?
He tried to face the picture seriously.
Before I knew it, I was truly rooting for the dream of a young man I had never met or even talked to.
If we who live in Japan have a dream, we can move straight toward that dream.
However, due to the national system and environment, he was unable to move forward as he wanted to.
To my shame, I realized this for the first time at this age.
The desire to make someone happy.
I felt that his feelings were completely the same as the pictures he drew and the SUGiTORA desserts we make.
His painting now hangs on the second floor of the cafe.

3. Currently, the young man’s (Yunseo) great painting is on display on the second floor of the cafe, and I sincerely hope that he will visit again after he is accepted to art school.
