Circumstances were also captured in which a current director sexually assaulted a deaf person several times and attempted to isolate the victim due to rumors that his private life was promiscuous.

People call Mr. A a deaf person.
In 2021, Mr. A, in his 30s, took over as head of the sign language interpretation center.
It is one of the best jobs a deaf person can dream of.
[Victim (sign language substitute): I worked with that goal in mind, wondering what I could do to help the deaf, and since I became the center director, I expected to achieve that.]
Mr. A said that around this time, Jeong Hee-chan, director of the Deaf Association, approached him.
Director Jeong was in his 50s, so the age difference was large, and above all, he was a powerful person in the association.
[Victim (sign language substitute): At first, Director Jeong kept saying things like, ‘Let’s go eat, let’s meet and play,’ so I just kept saying ‘I don’t like it, no,’ and refused.]
The expressions became increasingly explicit.
[Victim (Sign Language Translator): (Later) He said in a forced manner, ‘Let’s meet as men and women. Don’t you know America? America is open to sexual relations. We can enjoy each other.’]
The following year, 2022, two people were included in the business trip group.
The victim claimed that Director Jeong sneaked into the hotel room and attempted to sexually assault her.
[Victim (sign language substitute): (Director Jeong) suddenly opened the bathroom door and came in. I felt so bad that I kicked him out and quickly got dressed… ]
He said that when the victim resisted, he made a fuss.
[Victim (sign language stand-in):
When I asked him, ‘Why are you trying to share the same room?’ he said, ‘Hey, it’s okay, there are two beds here. I thought, ‘It’s okay if we all just sleep’…
]
In May of that year, victim A explained that she had been sexually assaulted several times.
He also said that she was pregnant and that when she told him about this, he sexually assaulted her again.
She also said that Director Jeong gave her about 500,000 won in money to have an abortion.
