On the 5th, Japan’s Weekly Bunshun reported that Kokomi Kimura was dating Japanese professional volleyball player Tomohiro Ogawa.
Kokomi is a fan of the Japanese volleyball animation ‘Haikyu’, and in October 2023, she was spotted wearing a headband in support of the Japanese men’s national volleyball team, to which Ogawa belongs.
The media reported that the two have been dating for about two years and were spotted spending time together for a few days in Osaka last month. They also released photos showing the two of them going out together to buy something or being affectionate, such as Kokomi kissing Tomohiro on the cheek.
A person close to Kokomi said, “Kokomi, who lives in Tokyo, and Tomohiro, who lives in Osaka, have been in a long-distance relationship for two years.”
Previously, Kokomi garnered attention by saying in an Instagram live broadcast with her younger brother Kouki in 2020, “I promised to find someone more handsome than my father for my marriage partner.”
Ogawa is 176cm tall and weighs 65kg, and his position is ‘libero’. After graduating from Meiji University, he played for Wolfdogs Nagoya, J-Tect Stings, and is currently playing for Suntory Sunbirds Osaka. After being elected to the Japan national volleyball team in 2021, he has participated in several international competitions.
After reports of a romantic relationship, Ogawa actually admitted to dating Kokomi, saying, “We are getting along well (with Kokomi).”
