1.

Just as voice actor Kang Hee-seon was criticized for trying to replace him with AI when he left the subway announcement due to health issues, KBS has also revealed its intention to reduce public recruitment and replace insufficient parts with AI. In fact, it is the same as revealing its intention to abolish public recruitment and replace it with AI in the long term.

2. Tooniverse has already effectively abolished open recruitment at the end of its 11th season in 2021, so if even KBS reduces the number of exclusive voice actors or abolishes open recruitment, the door to becoming an official voice actor for aspiring voice actors will become even narrower (in this case, Daewon Broadcasting, Daekyo Broadcasting, and EBS are the only places left that consistently recruit).

3. The best in Korea for over 70 years. Voice actor fans also took collective action by posting petitions, unable to see that the largest voice actor theater society and one with a responsibility as a public broadcaster to take the lead in protecting the Korean language was in danger of disappearing.

If you look at voice actress Kim Seon-hye’s YouTube channel, you will see that when the Myeonghwa Theater was abolished about 10 years ago, KBS tried to abolish public recruitment, but the voice actor community protested as a group and only managed to prevent the abolition. The disappearance of the real KBS Voice Actor Society is a problem that will affect not only the voice actor world but the entire Korean culture.
