“Bruce said to me, ‘Even if you make a bad movie and it fails at the box office, I want you to find that one character that everyone loves that you can always go back to.’ And he said, ‘Arnold has the Terminator, Sylvester has Loki and Rambo, and I have John McClane.’ So I was like, ‘Oh, I see.’ But then I decided to make Nick Fury. I realized this when I got the role and signed a nine-episode contract. ‘Ah, this is what Bruce was talking about. Now I have that character too.’”
