It was reported on the 13th that a man in his 40s saved all three elementary school students who fell into the water while riding a bicycle on the 13th. He told the press that he had learned to swim for his children.
Lee Dong-geun 46 heard a shout at 6:19 p.m. on the 12th while riding a bicycle on the banks of Gwangnyecheon Stream in Haman, Gyeongsangnam-do. I looked around and saw three boys floundering and shouting in the water.
The 8-year-old and 12-year-old brothers and 12-year-old neighborhood friends were playing in the water with their peers and fell into a place about 2 meters deep and asked for help. Mr. Lee immediately threw his bike away and jumped into the water to save all the children. With the help of
Lee, the children who came out of the water were taken to a nearby hospital through 119 rescue teams. All children were confirmed to have no significant life-threatening effects except for symptoms such as low energy and chills.

Lee, the father of two daughters who are middle and high school students, has 10 years of swimming experience.
When their children were young, they started swimming thinking, ‘If our children fall into the water, we have to save them!’
Lee said in a telephone interview with the JoongAng Ilbo that day, “I have two children, who are middle and high school seniors, and I only thought about saving them,” adding, “When I came out of my last child, I was actually exhausted, but I’m glad that they’re all safe.”
