Doesn’t the minimum wage and weekly holiday allowance really need to be fixed?

I am an office worker and work in a job that rarely involves overtime work.

I can’t help it, my salary is not enough.

Plus, my eldest child is in the arts and physical education department, so it costs a lot of money. I ended up finding a part-time job during the holidays and working two jobs…

Coupang seemed to be in trouble, and fast food and cafes mainly recruited young women, so I ended up looking for a job at a convenience store.

But because of the week off, everyone is splitting it up.

The rule is 5 days for 2 hours, 4 days for 3 hours, 3 days for 4 hours, 2 days for 6-7 hours, and one day for more than 10 hours.

While looking at the 2-3 month part-time job paradise app, I feel that there are a lot of places that can work 365 days a year at night and change the days of the week;

Actually, it’s not my first time working two jobs. In the past, I worked at one store for 4 days and 4 evenings on weekdays and 8 hours on weekend nights for 32 hours each… Of course, there were legal days off at this time, but the owner took good care of me and there were a lot of customers. It wasn’t a different place, so I didn’t complain. So, I did it for almost 4 years. I quit here, took a break, and then tried to get hired again, but the recruitment announcements are crazy.

But the more problem is that if one person works for a long time -> the skill level increases, but if you can’t, you have to find a new one.

As they split their time into small pieces and hire 5 to 10 part-time workers at a small store, the bosses seem to be very stressed about recruiting, and even if they had a puppy sitting on the counter, they are not getting hired.

I also work 10 to 12 hours a day at different stores on Saturdays and Sundays, and as anyone who has ever worked part-time at a convenience store knows, managing expiration dates at certain times, cleaning irregularly, refilling shelves after customers arrive, organizing refrigerated items when they are empty, etc. are all in fact one hour. It’s a very easy part-time job where you can relax for 30 minutes.

However, the guys who come to work and sit at the counter with their heads down and watch YouTube for 7 hours until they get off work, and then when the next worker comes, they wipe their drool and leave work. Because of the week off, it is difficult for the bosses to hire people every day, so they leave their positions and cannot replace them.

You might say, ‘Then why don’t you give me a week off and get a proper job?’

I am not yet self-employed and am an employee, but with the current economy, it is certain that chicken restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops, bakeries, etc. will go out of business, except for certain very well-positioned businesses.

Even in good places, the rent is high anyway, so the economy is frozen at a level where it is certain that no building owner or self-employed person can survive. Right now… even if it recovers, it doesn’t look like it will get much better.

Well, even if I say this, I’m a little worried because I don’t think anything will change next year.
