At an event to meet single men and women hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, half of the attendees actually became lovers.

On the 27th, the city of Seoul announced that the final 27 couples were selected at the ‘Excitement in Han River’ event held at Sebitseom in Banpo Hangang Park on the 23rd. This is a matching rate of 54%.

Previously, the city recruited participants for this event from the 21st of last month to the 8th of this month. 3,286 people applied for the final 100 people, recording a high competition rate of about 33 to 1.

The 100 participants who participated in the event despite the high competition rate enjoyed programs such as dating coaching, Han River yachting experience, recreational games, 1:1 conversation, and cocktail dates.

The city plans to provide dating packages worth 300,000 won, including meal tickets and cultural experience tickets, to the 27 couples born through the event on this day, helping them get to know each other better and build memories.

Kim Seon-soon, head of the Seoul City Gender Equality and Family Office, said, “We sincerely congratulate those who have become couples,” and added, “We will continue to hold events through corporate sponsorship in the future and strive to provide more single men and women with opportunities to meet.”
