Confucius, who was active in the early Warring States Period, traveled to many countries to promote his ideal of moral politics.
One day, I saw a man pooping on a street corner.
Confucius called the man to come before him and scolded him severely, citing human ethics.
The question was, since humans are not beasts like dogs and pigs or crows, how can they not distinguish between what can be covered and what cannot be covered?
The man who was scolded harshly turned red and left in a hurry.
After that, I went for a while, and this time I saw someone pooping in the middle of the road.
Then Confucius told his disciples to go away from him.
The disciple thought it was very interesting
“Teacher, why do we avoid people who poop in the middle of the street?
“Isn’t that guy worse than the guy on the street corner earlier?”
Confucius answered.
“The author is a man without a shred of conscience. The man who lives on the street corner still has a shred of conscience, so you can teach him.
“How can you teach someone who has no conscience at all?”
