As summer approaches, I wash my towels and clothes I wear at home by hand every day and change them every day. Take 3 or 4 and keep rotating them.
(Why run the washing machine with 2-3 loads of laundry?)
At some point, when I tried to wear it the next day, it started to smell like something musty like the article above.
That smell of blankets that have been in the closet for years?
I was wondering what to do with this, so I soaked it in bleach water for about 10 minutes and then washed it.
Instead of raw bleach, put 2/3 of water in a container roughly the size of a cold noodle bowl, and the bleach is about a bottle of yogurt?
As for laundry, hand wash it with laundry soap.
The musty smell is completely gone. It’s been about 3 weeks since I washed the bleach, but it hasn’t come out yet.
If anyone has something similar, give it a try. I don’t know the exact cause, but it’s not ‘my real body odor’,
I think it was caused by small amounts of soap/detergent or dead skin cells left behind during washing.
If the smell really came from my body, that strange smell wouldn’t have gone away even if I applied bleach.
It’s not like I put bleach on my body.
Be careful when applying bleach as the color may fade from your clothes. The red towel became a wine-colored towel..
The gray t-shirt is a pink t-shirt… It doesn’t matter since it’s a cotton t-shirt that I only wear at home…
And anyway, I shower often…
Regardless of the bleach, there may be cases where your body actually smells something.
