People around me told me to please pay taxes.

I repeatedly put it off for years and ended up paying a late fee all at once, saying I had to serialize it.

I guess it works, and I keep repeating that.

Was caught on suspicion of tax evasion

Prosecutor: No matter how you look at it, you don’t have the intelligence to evade taxes, so I’ll just accept it, right?

Judge: Instead of studying comics, study the world.

It ended with a fine and probation.

What…

Some news from the ruling

Regarding the circumstances that led to tax evasion, “The defendant was very poor at office work and had little interest in money, so he lacked interest in social systems as appropriate for his age.

“It is the result of rapid popularity, and people taking lightly the importance of filing a comprehensive income tax return and continuing to run away from office work by prioritizing immediate work or personal matters,” he explained.

He was sentenced to 10 months in prison, 3 years of probation, and a fine of 11 million yen for the reason that “considering that he entrusted the management of documents to a tax collector and paid income tax without fail from 2022, it is unlikely that he will commit tax evasion again.”

The judge said, “From now on, just saying ‘I forgot’ won’t end, so live your life paying attention to various things every day.”

I gave advice to defendant Ikeda (manga artist).
