A few stories about the 7th Corps commander that came to mind after seeing the death of a trainee

He was a person who worked in the unit next door when the 7th Corps commander was a brigade commander.

1. The person who appears when it rains

The brigade commander, who emphasized being a top warrior, always emphasized physical training, and unless something happened, he never missed physical training.

Sometimes, when physical training is canceled due to snow or rain, the next unit comes running like a ghost and asks, “Aren’t you going to go to war if it rains?” Thanks to the brigadier general who shouted

Physical training used to be carried out equally for everyone without exception.

2. The person who neglected training

There was a senior officer who suffered from cellulitis and had difficulty moving around, but they did not excuse him from the march.

A senior soldier who had been participating in the march for too long ended up having necrosis in his big toe, which resulted in a partial incision (cut vertically) and he was not seen for several months after that.

3. Artillery training for new recruits

The time when the author enlisted was in the latter half of Shinkyodae, when education was just emerging.

Soldiers who were given artillery expertise came to their unit after receiving artillery training for several weeks.

However, the brigade commander was dissatisfied with the training in the latter half of the year and created a new training called “New recruit artillery training.”

One battalion was turned into a training center, and assistant instructors and instructors were selected to receive specialized training.

There is no problem up to this point, but the brigade commander still placed importance on physical training.

First of all, no walking. Even when going to eat or go to training, I always walked at a canter.

After waking up, before eating, and before going to bed, do 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups.

Night training is essential

Training is a total of 2 weeks: 1 week for zero point shooting and 1 week for special skills.

Shooting was repeated throughout the day with PRI followed by zero point fire, and hundreds of rounds were consumed just by zero point fire. (At this time, I was out of my mind, so I fired repeatedly at the zero point shooting range.)

The problem was that the senior and successors who were 1-2 months older than the author were the main skill, so they had nothing to do as they thought.

For a week, three laba cones were set up from end to end of the parade ground and were rotated endlessly through low crawl, high crawl, and applied crawl.

Because of this guy who is crazy about physical training, his daily routine is ruined.

Wake up -> Morning canter -> Morning physical training -> Canter to the cafeteria -> Meal -> Canter to the barracks -> Canter to the training area -> Morning training -> Canter to the barracks -> Lunch physical training -> Meal -> Canter to the training area. -> Lunch training -> Canter to the barracks -> Evening canter (full canter several times a week) -> Evening physical training -> Dinner -> Canter to the barracks -> Canter to the training area -> Night training -> Canter to the barracks -> Physical training before going to bed -> Going to bed

This crazy routine has been completed.

As a result of the intense training + determination + physical training combined, one of the seniors ended up urinating in cola-colored urine.

I later found out that this was rhabdomyolysis.

It was difficult at the time, but many people said that he was a true soldier because he didn’t just order the soldiers to do it, but he also did the same.

Now that I think about it, I think it was just a crazy guy who got hit.
