At 4:20 a.m. on July 15, the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power notified Goesan-gun of the possibility of overflowing Goesan Dam. At 4:30 a.m., a resident evacuation text message was sent

Upon receiving the notification, the head of Gammul-myeon and public officials of Goesan-gun were the first to evacuate six households adjacent to the embankment to the village hall

He immediately came to the village, asked the head of the village to broadcast the evacuation, turned on the siren in the official car, and went around the village

As the villagers did not move due to sirens and evacuation broadcasts that rang late in the morning, Lee Jin-woo, head of Gammul-myeon, and public officials on standby knocked on all the doors of the house one by one and evacuated all the villagers for two hours

After evacuating the residents, they withdrew from Jangdo Village in Gammul-myeon at 6:30 a.m

There were 417 people who escaped like this
